The Opportunity: This is a great opportunity for a savvy transactional accountant to step up and take on a newly created Share Services Supervisor role. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Shared Services team, working closely with the Shared Services Manager to strengthen the team’s effectiveness through increasing team engagement, identifying and improving processes and ensuring the team is aligned to the business strategy and objectives.

The Role: An outstanding opportunity for a Senior Transactional Accountant to take on a newly created role within a dynamic and growing Shared Services Team.  Reporting to the Shared Services Manager the successful candidate will be tasked to oversee both the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions as well as assist in supporting the shared services team to ensure all expectations from both internal and external stakeholder are fulfilled.

  • Oversee a complex function that supports the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Master data and Expense functions
  • Manage the ongoing centralisation project
  • Drive compliance with standard processes
  • Assist project team with the roll out of a new specialist ERP system
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Drive improved relationships across the business with the Shared Services function through business partnership & strategic initiatives

The Potential: You will ideally have 3 – 5 years’ experience in a senior transactional accounting role that has allowed you to directly or indirectly manage a team. You hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance and have the ability to successfully manage a broad range of stakeholders, within the business as well as externally. You are proactive in nature and are constantly finding new ways to improve processes and procedures. Excel will definitely be a strong suit and having experience in Yardi, JD Edwards, TM1 or Argus it would be highly regarded.
